Peach and Apricot Jam

We got so many peaches and apricots of the trees in the backyard this year that we had to do something with them. So we decided to attempt to make jam. And we succeeded. We made over a hundred jars of jam and they are good. Yummy.

Isaac's 5th B-day Party

Unfortunately I didn't take many pictures from Isaac's party because it was absolutely crazy with so many kids here. They enjoyed pin the tail on the donkey, bingo, pinata, bouncy house, pizza and presents. They all had so much fun but this house was busting with kids. The theme he chose for his party was of course transformers. I had even found an optimus prime cake pan but at the last minute I went and bought a cake instead. I was exhausted and couldn't find any energy to make a cake. Oh well, next year I will make it. Oh man my little man is five. Time has flown by to fast.

Kaytlin's 7th B-day Party

This year the kids decided they wanted seperate parties and Kaytlin decided she wanted an all-girl party. Okay. It just happened to work out that Isaac was invited to a classmates birthday party at the same time. Kaytlin got her wish. The theme she chose was Strawberry Shortcake which I thought was wonderful because I had that theme when I was a kid around her age. So sweet. Anyhow she celebrated her birthday with some friends: Kayla, Nicole, Emma, Auntie Rachael, Mommy and herself. We all enjoyed Pin the strawberry on strawberry shortcake, guess how many jelly beans, bingo, waterslide, slip'n'slide, pizza, and of course cake and presents. She had fun and loved her party. The inside of the house glowed pink like a pepto bismal bottle exploded. She loved it of course.

Kaytlin's first grade awards ceremony

Wow, wow, wow! Kaytlin is amazing. Isaac and I went to her awards ceremony for first grade and she got eight awards. The kid is a perfectionist and has to be the best. I hear that it's common for first borns. I don't know. She is who she is. I have amzing children who are completely different but still both perfect to me. I love them.

Isaac's Preschool Graduation

Isaac had his preschool graduation and it was adorable. It was the same as Kaytlin's was when she was there but even more emotional for me. We had asked Kaytlin if she wanted to skip school to go and of course she said yes. But she would only go as long as she could be back to school in time for lunch. We were able to meet her demands, hehehe. Afterwards we went out to lunch at a place of his choosing.......Wendy's. Congratulations Isaac. You are now in Kindergarden!

Father-Son campout

Josh took Isaac to his first Father-Son campout this spring. They had a wonderful time. There was a little drama getting there and finding everyone else but they eventually made it and had fun. Isaac still asks when we're going to go camping again but I'm not sure. Camping here in NV is soooo different than it is in CA and all the other places I've camped before. I'm thinking about maybe planning a trip for yellowstone next year. I had a great time camping there as a kid. Or maybe Tahoe. We'll see. Anyhow the boys enjoyed themselves. I do believe that Isaac's favorite part was going in Grandpa's jeep. I have a feeling the was Josh's favorite part too. Boys will be boys.

Mother's Day

For Mother day this year we went out to dinner after church. We went to the Geisha House which is Japanese Tepanyaki table cooking. LOVE IT THERE! That has to be our kid's favorite place to eat. The best part for them is that they have "magic" chopsticks. My father came with us and was amazed that the kids could eat with them. It was so cute.

The Fri prior to Mothers Day's at Isaac's preschool they had a Mother's day tea party. The children sang sons to us and we had "tea" and a treat. And then they presented us with their present to us. It was a hand towel with their hands stamped on it so they could always give us a hand when we need it. Precious. Kaytlin had made one for me also when she was in school there. I love my children and am soooo thankful to be able to be their mother. Ilove you Kaytlin and Isaac!

Pamala's Birthday

Rarely do we ever do anything for my Birthday other than dinner and a movie. This year Josh asked me if I'd like to do anything and I said yes. I wanted to go paint-ball shooting. Well he made it happen. We got a baby-sitter for the kids (they are too young to go) and a group of people together. It was so much fun. It was painful but we had a blast....litterally. The best part was shooting both my husband and father and it being totally legal. Josh also had my brother-in-law bring my favorite cake from CA. Burnt almond of course from Dicks Bakery. Yum yum yum! My favorite. This had to be the funnest birthday I've ever had. Thank you Josh!

Froggy Cake

A friend asked me to make a cake for her sons birthday party and this is it. It is my favorite cake that I've made so far.

The Gray Elephants, Spring 2009

This spring soccer season Kaytlin was on the team The Gray Elephants and of course she rocked. By far she was the lead scorer and the strongest team-member. My absolute favorite thing to do is watch her play soccer. She is so skilled and talented in this sport. Her are some good pics from this season.

Easter 2009

Yes I'm that far behind that I never did post pictures of Easter. Oh well here are some cute ones. Easter was spent like it usually is, egg hunt in the backyard, baskets, church and then dinner afterwards. Always fun and relaxing.

The Beach and Legoland (We love that place!)

On one of our trips this year we went to legoland but before that we decided to spend a day at the beach in San Diego. It was beautiful and the kids had a wonderful time as always. Legoland is always fun and I'm sad that our season passes are just about expired. We went several time this past year and I'm sure the kids will always remember it.

Ketchup!

Allrightythen, I've got some catching up to do here don't I?
