Here Little Leprauchan
Kaytlin's class assignment durring the week of St Patrick's was to build a Leprauchan trap. I've always wanted to catch one of those little boogers. Well Kaytlin and Daddy had devised a trap to do just that. Kaytlin came home on that Monday and gave me the guidelines. It was due in one week and was being graded on several different things. The first thing she did was sit down and draw a diagram of what she wanted. Of course she already had it in her head of what it should look like. Grandpa was very proud. As a kid I came home with my fair share of projects and he always made me put it on paper first. I hated that part. Kaytlin did much better than I ever did. Like I said, Grandpa was proud. Saturday was devoted to Kaytlin and Daddy working and building. They did awesome! We were all impressed. It even had gold coins inside to entise the little thing inside. Kaytlin's idea and Mommy found chocolate filled gold coins. It worked out great. I'm not sure the kids realize how lucky they are to have such a wonderful father. Hours spent building a leprauchan trap that I will never forget. Josh rocks! We even had a visit from a leprauchan in our backyard. As we were finishing our corned beef and cabbage on St. Patricks day I saw one of those things running across our back yard. Serriously! So I yelled to the kids and we all went running back there. Apparently he heard us coming and in his haste he dropped gold coins all over the back yard. Chocolate of course because he would never leave the real ones behind. Of course. That was an awesome day!
Fishing Derby Fun
Every year we go to a fishing derby put on by the parks and rec. It is always a load of fun. This year the kids got to make crafts, make a dirt and mud with worms cup and take home goody bags. We come every year and the kids have yet to catch a fish. This year was no different unfortunatley. But we get to go home with cool raffle prizes. Last year we got a peter piper pizza gift certificate and a hat. This year we got movie passes and a lunch box. Nice! It's always fun!

Rollerskates, Sore Butts and a Very Good Time
Grana (Cheri-Josh's Mom) got the kids rollerskates for Christmas. The backyard had been a mess so the kids weren't able to use them yet. Josh finally cleaned up the backyard and the rollerskates got strapped on. It was great. Kaytlin fell a lot at first but then she got the hang of it real quick, Isaac....not so much. He knew he was going to fall so he would purposely fall. He spent more time on the ground than anything. Once they were comfortable enough in the backyard we headed to the street. Yeah Kaytlin bailed on her butt a bit. Isaac kept falling. Josh had to join the fun and put his blades on. He took the kids a bit. On one of his solo acts he biffed, and I mean hard. The kids had tons of fun, that's all the matters, right. Except that Kaytlin's pore bum was sore for a week. She never anticipated the falls like Isaac. She would go all out and biffed, like somoeone else I know. Who could that be?

Follow-up to the tooth fairy
Okay, I suck at blogging but oh well. I will try to catch up. The last blog Kaytlin lost her tooth. The was interesting. We went to the dentist because it looked like the tooth coming in was sideways. He took x-rays and discovered that the tooth isn't sideways. It's just not supposed to be there. She had three teeth where most people have two. An adult and a baby tooth. She has two baby teeth. Plus its not a real front tooth. It's a canine tooth growing in the wrong spot. It should be over another tooth. So now for her two top front teeth she a deformed half grown one from when it first came in and a canine next to it. He also said she is a very slow tooth developer so she won't loose anymore baby teeth for a very long time. He said Isaac will probably lose his before she does. Her pictures will look a little gappy for a while but thats okay. She's still beautiful!
